Hello, I’m Sally-Anne…

I’m a full-time artist and the woman behind ARTKRAZIE.

I’ve always loved colour, imagination and the feeling that there is a little bit of magic hiding in ordinary things. Those ideas have gradually found their way into my drawings/paintings, especially my fairies!

My artwork is colourful, quirky and full of character. I love creating expressive faces, big eyes, unusual colour combinations and those little details that make each fairy feel like she has her own personality.

MY FAIRIES

I don’t want to draw/paint fairies that all look the same.

I want each one to feel like an individual character - a little bit mysterious, a little bit cheeky and completely at home in her own magical world.

I draw/paint my original art using acrylics, pastel, colour pencil and marker pens, sometimes a little glitter, working from my home studio and allowing each piece to develop its own personality.

Sometimes I begin with an idea.

Sometimes a colour combination sparks something.

And sometimes a fairy simply seems to appear!

WHY I DRAW/PAINT

For me, art is about creating something that makes people feel something.

Maybe it reminds you of childhood.

Maybe it makes you smile.

Maybe you simply fall in love with a particular face, colour or character.

Whatever the reason, I want my art to bring a little joy and imagination into someone’s home.
